The space was perfect for our family of four, with a lovely open planning living and kitchen space with two comfortable bedrooms.
Lesley and Daniel were friendly, unobtrusive hosts who had seemingly thought of everything. We cant recommend this place highly enough.

We were also glad that there were full instructions for all the equipment, so many places leave you guessing how to use unfamiliar cooking equipment. Lesley very kindly sorted out my allergy problems by removing perfumed items and not cleaning with anything perfumed. We would recommend this cottage as a great place to stay.

The big open kitchen / diner / living room is a perfect living space with plenty of room to spread out and a well equipped kitchen. The bedrooms are bigger than they look in the photos and have lots of hanging and drawer space. Little considerate touches like a supply of Tupperware for picnics and buckets for the beach made all the difference. The warm and powerful shower was very welcome after long days on the beach too. We’d love to visit again!

There are plenty of places accessible either on foot or by means of a short drive; the jetty just across the road is worth the short stroll for the waders and wildfowl, and the views of Beinn Resipol. The Ariundle oakwoods near Strontian are worth a visit, and the stretch of road between Glenborrodale and Kilchoan is a good place to look out for both varieties of eagle.

Lesley’s local recommendations were incredibly helpful, and we had such a great time exploring the surrounding area. Some of our favourite trips included going to Ardtoe Beach & Singing Sands Beach.

We were fortunate enough to see some amazing wildlife, which made our trip even more special. The check-in process was seamless, and the property itself was cozy, well-equipped, and had everything we needed. All you need is in walking distance, fantastic restaurant, great pub with pool and darts, bakery, village shop and takeaway!

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to explore the beautiful Ardnamurchan. Truly an unforgettable trip!

We didn’t realise there was no back garden but I think that’s our own fault! The driveway was quite a squeeze, but it’s a character property so you have to expect some original quirks.

Die umgebaute alte Kapelle ist lichtdurchflutet und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Sauber, gepflegt und mit... read more einem sehr schönen Blick auf Loch Shiel. Frische Wicken aus dem Garten, sowie Tee und Shortbread etc. heißen willkommen. Der Bootssteg am Loch ist zu Fuß schnell erreicht und man kann dort wunderbar den Tag ausklingen lassen.
In unmittelbarer Nähe befindet sich ein kleiner Laden, in dem man alles Nötige finden kann. Die Landschaft auf Ardnamurchan ist einfach wundervoll und es gibt viele schöne Dinge zu entdecken. Ca. 1/2 bis eine gute Stunde sollte man mit dem Auto immer einplanen, wobei die Fahrt allein schon Urlaub ist.

Of course, the scenery is beautiful and there's no need to drive if you don't want to.

We got all we needed from the shops in Acharacle and at Sanna Jetty. The kitchen is well appointed and I had no trouble cooking what I wanted to.

Lesley was very helpful with local intelligence and tips and her communication, both before and after our stay, was proactive and helpful.

We would happily return.

  Sometimes you find a really really nice place and this was one of those times!
