Wie gesagt, der Ort liegt zwar fast am Ende der Welt verfügt jedoch über einen überraschend gut sortierten kleinen Laden, eine sehr nettes Cafe und und ein Hotel mit Bar und wenn man Glück hat mit Live-Music. Falls man doch mal Kontakt zu Menschen sucht. Wir können es nur empfehlen.

The drive to and walk to the summit of Ben Hiant was like heaven on earth - thanks for recommending. We stayed in Feb and quite a few of the local restaurants & pubs were still closed for the Winter although we did have a fab meal at the Kilcamb Hotel. A Lovely stay and would def return.

  Belmont Chapel Cottage is just THE most stunning home away from home! With windows on all sides of the open plan living space you get to enjoy the light at... read more all times of the day and on the sunny days, the room is just flooded with light.

The cottage is well furnished and stylishly finished. You will feel instantly welcomed, just like coming home.

If you can bare the midges the bench out the front is a lovely place to start or end your day with a mug / glass of something in hand, equally too is the sun porch and probably the way to avoid the midges! Wherever you sit, inside or out, just drink in that view, the birdsong and utter peace.

The kitchen is fabulous and is well equipped if you intend cooking. My colleague and I were staying whilst working on Ardnamurchan so the cute puffin mugs and wine glasses was the extent of our needs!

The shower was A-MAY-ZING! I have long thick hair and the water pressure made light work of it. I usually avoid washing my hair when I'm away because it's hard work if the shower isn't up to it. Not so here and there was a decent hair dryer too. Big hair welcome!

Lesley and her family, including their keen collie, were so warm and welcoming. I can't speak highly enough of this stay. Thank you Lesley.

  The first job is always to find the accommodation, and Lesley's directions were some of the best we've ever received and led us right to the front of the house.... read more The cottage is smart, well equipped, beautifully laid out and presented, and with a view of Loch Shiel from the front window as a bonus.

There are plenty of places accessible either on foot or by means of a short drive; the jetty just across the road is worth the short stroll for the waders and wildfowl, and the views of Beinn Resipol. The Ariundle oakwoods near Strontian are worth a visit, and the stretch of road between Glenborrodale and Kilchoan is a good place to look out for both varieties of eagle.
